RCS is a fully accredited Canadian school in the Prince Edward Island Affiliate School Programme. This programme is intended to "foster the intellectual, physical, emotional and cultural growth and development of students so that each may take a meaningful place in society".

The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IB) has accredited Royal Canadian School as an IB World School, authorizing RCS to implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. This accreditation ensures that RCS meets all the IB criteria and quality standards, and is the result of dedication to the continuous enhancement of teaching methods, educational innovation and professional development.

Prince Edward Island Affiliated School Agreement
This formal agreement document establishes Royal Canadian School as an authorized Affiliated School under the Prince Edward Island Affiliate Schools Program. The agreement authorizes RCS to operate as an Affiliated School in grades Kindergarten through Grade 9.
